Instead, tell him how it makes you feel when he does or says whatever it was. Get things out, now is not the time to hold back, let him know your true feelings. If there is reason for an apology on your part, this is the chance to offer that apology while you are together.

It will go even further if you can show him concrete steps that you are taking to ensure that it doesn’t continue to happen. Both of you should make a commitment to working on the relationship at all times.
