Well the term swinging dates back as far as the 16th century when the whole thing became popularised, and it derives from Couples Swapping really, or to be more precise, a non monogamous relationship (basically not with one person). Swingers are usually classed in couples because anyone single is simply single and cannot swing since they don’t have a partner to be non monogamous with.

Who does it?
Basically anyone can swing, as long as you’re already in a relationship with someone. If you and your partner find another couple who have similar tendencies, curiosities, or desires toward swinging then there every chance that you will end up doing it. I suppose it’s just a matter of talking openly about the subject; which in itself can be quite difficult.

You should try to address the subject more generically to find out your partner’s opinions about it first before you suddenly blurt out that you fancy doing some swinging.

How do you start swinging?
Many couples swapping their partners with other couples do it with friends or at least people who they know or trust, but there are some more daring swingers who prefer to spread the love around a little more.
