But I know school can be a sickening place. The curriculum and the textbooks get harder and harder as you grow older and advance up the levels. Not only that, you may have to deal with sucky teachers or big bad ugly bullies who seem to get in get in your way all the time and make you either afraid or fighting for justice. You feel tired but worse still, there is this girl that you like. Oh no! What should you do? You have not even had a girlfriend before. No dating experience. Zero. Zilch. You haven’t a clue how to tackle that girl and right now you can only crave for her and think about her endlessly.

Now I would recommend that the most important thing you should do now is to find some chances (or to put it in another way, create some chances) to be with her and to start a friendship with her and subsequently turn this friendship into a relationship. And how are you going to do this, you might ask. Well easy peasy. The start to having a girlfriend is really to start at the friendship level first. Now who says you can’t be girlfriends with a friend? Yes sometimes it is difficult to cross over from friendship to relationship, but the trick here is not to stay at the friendship stage for too long. Staying at the friendship stage for too long will result in the friendship being solidified and the girl may then really start to regard you as a friend. Then that is mega oops time because it would be difficult to change how she sees you when it reaches that stage.

So how do you work on that friendship? First ask yourself if there are any classes which you attend together with this girl you like. I am sure it was most likely one of these classes that caught you her attention anyway, right? Unless you were walking past her along a corridor, and her hair was swaying in such a nice fashion that you got totally smitten by her, then that is a bigger toughie, because you would have to dig out more about her before you can make your move. But if you know what classes she attends and also you have a chance to attend those classes with her, try sitting with her in class. What about lunch? Does she lunch alone? If yes, then more bonus opportunities for you! Ask her to eat together with you during lunch or recess or maybe even break time. The moral of the story is every time you have a chance to interact to her just try to get to know her more just by interacting to her. Very soon you will realise that you have got a new girlfriend.
