How To Build Your Confidence On A First Date And Get A Second Date
When going on a first date, most people get overwhelmed and they lose their confidence. Lack of confidence will lead you to make unreasonable mistakes that may not only refuse youan opportunity for a second date, but also the desire to even look for another date. We naturally tend to be nervous as human beings when we are doing something new. The same applies to dating; when you meet someone for the first time on a date, it hard to know how it is going to turn out. This is evident on the guys more than the ladies. The obvious reason is that guys sometimes put too much expectation
on a date and as result try to make everything perfect. This article will give you some tips on how to overcome nervousness on your first date and get a second date.
Strive to be yourself; be human, not an expert: As mentioned earlier, nervousness is the reason why most people don’t get a second date. This has nothing to do with being an expert in anything, so if you are an expert in some field, it doesn’t apply to dating. When I say be yourself, I don’t mean you need to exhibit your expertise; I am talking about being yourself as a normal human being. Whereas your expertise may be important at some point in your dating process, it should not be the focal point on your first date. Not unless of course your date wants to know. Most people don’t want to know your career; they want to know you as a person. By that I mean they want to find out if you are caring, loving, attentive, reliable, outgoing, and funny and the list continues.
Be attentive to your date’s reactions and treat them nicely: This is not rocket science, people need attention and if you are not willing to give, they will find it elsewhere. If you want make a good impression on your first date and get a second date, show that you care for him or her. The easiest way to do so is to be attentive, respectful and appreciative. Don’t dorminate the conversation, give your date an opportunity to talk and listen while they speak. This means listening even if you are not interested in what your date if sharing. Remember the first date is all about impression; show a good impression naturally by being courteous and nice and getting back together for a second date will be guarantee.
No one is perfect: Remind yourself that there is nobody who is perfect. This will give your confidence a significant boost and you won’t have to fake to impress. If you focus on perfection you make too many mistakes and limit your chances for a second date. So do what you can comfortably do to make your date at home. If it doesn’t work out, it is not the end of your dating; it just means that this one was not meant to be.
