First, you want to stay on the go doing something. What you do isn’t as essential as the fact that you’re doing something. Anything that will keep you from thinking about how sad you are about losing your ex, or what you might say to your ex if you collide with into them in public, or how off beam they were to dump you.

Do anything you ordinarily like to do–but do more of it! Read that book you’ve been meaning to read, pamper yourself a little more in the hobby you fancy, or even do the chores or housecleaning you’ve been meaning to take care of for so long.

Another thing you might consider doing is volunteering at a local charity or animal shelter. Serving others will help you feel good about yourself. And if you have to study something up-to-the-minute in the process–and you most likely will–this will work double-time on keeping your mind off of your troubles.

Hang out with your acquaintances. Nobody ever said that viewing a little bit of terrible TV is a bad coping instrument for getting through being dumped. The only predicament is when you do it alone.

Just being around the people you care about, and who care about you in return, can be the make-or-break distinction that keeps you from going nuts or sliding into depression.

For that matter, just being around anybody can be a big benefit right now. It won’t hurt to test and have a discussion about things and get a different standpoint on your circumstances, too.

Even better, your associates might have some activities of their own that they can ask you along on.

It’s not a unpleasant plan to treat yourself to something special. Got a few extra bucks to use up? Get that new CD you’ve been wanting, or take yourself out on the town. Even something trouble-free and low-priced like buying yourself some ice cream can be good, if you do it with the approach that you’re being good to yourself. The foremost thing is to consider that you’re totally worth getting a little spoiled–and it’s just fine to spoil yourself!

How can these things benefit you to get back with your ex? I’m not going to make an effort and instruct you that cleaning out your car, hanging out with your associates, buying a new CD and eating some ice cream are the magic keys to get your ex back.

But they are all ways to assist you stay sane, upbeat, and to remind you that you’re worth a damn. Your ex unquestionably won’t want to get back with you if you’re down all the time. But if you’re capable of showing power in the face of hard times, and can show that you feel good about yourself, that’s going to add to your charm. And personal attractiveness positively won’t hurt if you try to win your ex back!
